World Press Freedom Day

Members of the Youngstown Press Club participated in a worldwide recognition of World Press Freedom Day on May 3, 2023, reading the names of 67 journalists who were killed in 2022, who were memorialized in a prayer service by Father Mykola Zomchak at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Readers for the Reading of the Names were George Denney, JoAnn Kolarik, Chris Travers, Ernie Brown, India Gatts, Ralph Zerbonia, Lori Factor, Chelsea Simeon, Adam Earnheardt, Brenda Linert, George Nelson.
