For the sixth consecutive year, members of the Youngstown Press Club honored journalists killed in the past year with a World Press Freedom Day reading of the names. Emily Webster Love gave opening remarks and the names of 129 journalists killed in 2025 across the globe.

​Readers were George Nelson, Paulina Montaldo, Chelsea Simeon, Chris Travers, Ralph Zerbonia, Jim Michaels, Karen Kastner, Ben Davis, JoAnn Kolarik, Dennis Mangan, Tom Williams and Nicarlyle Hanchard.
