Youngstown Mayor Derrick McDowell will be the keynote speaker at the Youngstown Press Club's annual meeting and dinner, April 13, 2026, at Stambaugh Auditorium.
The public is invited to this event. The annual meeting and dinner is where Youngstown Press Club members are updated on club business and vote on any ballot issues or elections. Ticket price includes dinner. There will be a cash bar.

Mayor Derrick McDowell
Derrick McDowell became Youngstown's 52nd mayor in January 2026, running as an Independent and vowing to reclaim Youngstown's identity in a new era of rebuilding the city's industry.
A native son of the South Side, he graduated from Chaney High School. He is the founder of The Youngstown Flea, and has served as the former Community Engagement and Inclusion Coordinator for Wean Park and the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. He is also the founder of Hola Fest Youngstown, a Hispanic Heritage Cultural Celebration, and previously held a position at AT&T in corporate leadership for 12 years of his professional career.
